〰️

It has been my experience that when you live from a place of trust and release the need to control the outcome, you open up the space to co-create with the Universe. You become a magnet for opportunities, experiences, and synchronicities that are fully in alignment with your heart. You are available for miracles.

This couldn’t have been more true in my experience discovering the Akashic Records.

Despite hearing about the Records for years, I never felt inspired to explore them, until one day I was walking down the street in my Brooklyn neighborhood and suddenly received this deep inner knowing that it was time to receive a reading.

At a time when I felt a bit lost, was struggling with my health, and lacked overall clarity, that one-hour reading gave me hope. And even more thrilling, it gave me direction. Within that short time, my energy completely shifted, I knew what I needed to do next, and I was filled with so much excitement for the future. It was clarity unlike anything I had ever experienced before.

A few months later, I signed up for the training weekend and since then, the Records have brought more to my life than I could ever have dreamed possible.

It is through guidance I received from the Records that I:

  1. Aligned with my purpose in my work and created my healing course, Inner Alchemy, a dream I had been holding onto for years
  2. Received direction to explore specific modalities and tools that transformed my healing journey
  3. Left Brooklyn, NY for Florida and purchased my dream home, minutes away from the beach
  4. Found the courage to consistently show up on social media and IRL, even while healing from facial paralysis
  5. Created meaningful, soulful relationships and learned to receive support on my healing journey

There is a deeper purpose and meaning within your healing journey, and the Akashic Records will support you in connecting to that.

What are the Akashic Records?

The Akashic Records are a vibrational record of every Soul and its journey, containing all past, present, and future possibilities.

You can think of it like an energetic library or archive, filled with everything that every soul has ever thought, said, and done over the course of its existence — from past lives, to present life, and all future possibilities.

Everything that has life force has an Akashic Record, and there are infinite questions to ask your Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones to experience empowering and transformational insights on your journey.

For those new to the Akashic Records, Linda Howe, the author of How to Read the Akashic Records, describes them this way:

"The Akashic Records offer empowerment and transformation by lending us exactly the wisdom, guidance, and energetic support that we need in this lifetime. For centuries, the Records — the energetic archive of Souls’ past, present, and future possibilities — were the exclusive domain of mystics, saints, and scholars. No longer! The collective consciousness of the human race has been growing, evolving, and maturing. This spiritual independence is marked by individuals who know that they have direct access to their spiritual Source, and who cultivate that sacred relationship."

Edgar Cayce, the psychic medium and metaphysical teacher who popularized the Akashic Records, describes them in this way:

“The Akashic Records, or 'The Book of Life,' can be equated to the Universe’s super-computer system. It is this system that acts as the central storehouse of all information for every individual who has ever lived upon the earth. More than just a reservoir of events, the Akashic Records contain every deed, word, feeling, thought, and intent that has ever occurred at any time in the history of the world. Much more than simply a memory storehouse, however, these Akashic Records are interactive in that they have a tremendous influence upon our everyday lives, our relationships, our feelings and belief systems, and the potential realities we draw toward us … The Akashic Records contain the entire history of every soul since the dawn of Creation. These records connect each one of us to one another.”

Who are the Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones?

The Akashic Records are protected by a group of nonphysical Light Beings called the Lords of the Records. These beings ensure the safety and integrity of the Records. They determine not only who can access the Records, but what information they can receive. The Lords of the Records work with the Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones — who serve as the interface between the Akashic and earthly realms — by "downloading" to the Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones the information they will relay during each Akashic reading.

You can think of the Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones as your spiritual team.

Masters are nonphysical beings and have been with you through every lifetime, guiding your soul on its journey.

Teachers are, as you would imagine them, are your teachers through your lifetimes. This can include famous figures.

Loved Ones are your soul family, not just your blood family, through every lifetime.

Though the Lords of the Records and the Akashic Masters are nonphysical beings, some of the Teachers and all of the Loved Ones have existed as humans on earth.

When you work in the Akashic Records, you will never see the Lords of the Records, nor will you see the Teachers and Loved Ones as they existed in human form, but you may sense their energetic presence if a Teacher or a Loved One deems it appropriate and necessary to come forward to relay certain information.

Usually, the Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones prefer to remain anonymous so that we will learn to rely on the energy of the Records rather than on specific identities in the Records.

What are the origins of the Akashic Records? Are they tied to a specific religion?

The word Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning “sky” or "ether" and its interpretation spans across many ancient cultures and religions. Indians, Jews, Egyptians, Chinese, Moors, Druids, Persians, Tibetans, Greeks, and Mayans all consulted the Akasha and referenced it in ancient text before it reached Western awareness.

In his book The Self-Actualizing Cosmos: The Akasha Revolution in Science and Human Consciousness, Ervin Laszlo writes:

“Samkhya, one of the earliest philosophical teachings in India, held that there is a compendium of knowledge and information conserved in a nonphysical plane of reality, referred to as the Akashic Records.

The Hindu rishis (seers) specified this concept as a full-fledged cosmology. They held that there are not four but five elements of the cosmos. These are Vata (air), Agni (fire), Ap (water), and Prithivi (earth) — and also Akasha, variously described as space, brilliance, or all-encompassing light. The Akasha is the fundamental element. It holds the other elements in itself, but it is also outside of them, for it is beyond space and time. According to Paramahansa Yogananda, the Akasha is the subtle background against which everything in the material universe becomes perceptible.”

A few places the Akasha is referenced throughout history:
  • In the Bible it is referenced as the Book of Life.
  • The Old Testament mentions a collection of knowledge written on the fabric of reality.
  • In Psalm 139, David explains that God has written down his entire "history" —  everything about him and all the details of his life — even that which is imperfect and those deeds which have yet to be performed.
  • The ancient Indian sages of the Himalayas knew that each soul, jiva, atma, or entity recorded every moment of its existence in a "book".
  • Nostradamus claimed to have gained access to the Akasha, using methods derived from the Greek oracles, Christian and Sufi mysticism and the Kabbalah.

The first Western person to reference the Records was Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831-1891) through her theosophical doctrine. She referred to it as a life force with "indestructible tablets of the astral light" but did not use the term "akashic" directly. The concept was further introduced by Alfred Percy Sinnett in his book Esoteric Buddhism (1883) where he coined the term Akashic Record. In his book, he cites Henry Steel Olcott’s A Buddhist Catechism (1881) in which he wrote that “Buddha taught two things are eternal, viz, 'Akasa' and 'Nirvana.'”

The Akashic Records were popularized by the famous psychic medium and metaphysical teacher Edgar Cayce in the early 20th century.

Whether it is being referred to as the Akashic Records, The Book of Life, or the Akasha, there are many ways to access this immeasurable field of all that was, is, and will ever be. They are not tied to a specific culture or religion, they belong to the cosmos.

How to access the Akashic Records

Every person has the ability to read their own Records. There are many ways to access this infinite source of wisdom, and one is through Sacred Prayer. They can also be accessed through meditation, working with spirit guides, and intuitive study.

There is no one right way to access the Akashic Records. In my training, I practiced using the Pathway Prayer Process © channeled from Linda Howe, and that feels aligned for me. Find what works for you.

You do not need any training to open the Records, but it is supportive if you are feeling called. My teacher is Christina Cross, and Linda Howe also has certification programs as well as a book I highly recommend, How To Read the Akashic Records.

It is also important to note that you must be 18 or older to open your Records (this is because anyone younger than this is still developing into an adult), and when opening up the Akashic Record of another, you must have their permission.

Lastly, you should not take any recreational drugs or drink alchol for at least 24 hours before accessing the Records. Please note, this does not include prescription drugs.

If you are interested in learning how to access your Akashic Records, I offer an online course — How To Read the Akashic Records.

What happens when you open the Akashic Records

From my experience, once the Records are open, there is an immediate energetic shift. You may or may not feel this.

I recommend doing a brief meditation before beginning, and I personally always lead my clients through one (you can find a recording of the specific meditation I do within my course). It's really important to ground your energy and settle into the space before opening up the Records.

When opening up the Records, you use the person’s full legal name. This is because every name has a distinct vibrational quality.

There are different ways one can experience the Records. Some may see images, colors, aura, a visual playing in their mind's eye, voices, or a deep sense of inner knowing.

Once you feel grounded, you can begin to ask your questions. Sometimes the information will come through immediately, and other times you'll need to sit for a while before anything comes through. Practice patience, and keep an open mind and an open heart.

In the beginning, when opening up your Records, you might feel a pressure in your head when the Records open as the information flows through the crown chakra at the top of the head. This is completely normal and will go away after the first few times.

Know that the Akashic Records offer pure, divine light. They are nonintrusive and noninvasive, only giving you the information that serves your highest good.

Once you feel complete and are done asking your questions, you close your Records.

Questions to ask the Akashic Records

When opening the Akashic Records, there are countless questions you can ask.

Remember, your Masters, Teachers, and Loved ones are not fortune-tellers, and your reader is not using psychic abilities.

Questions should not be yes/no or should/shouldn’t questions but instead start with:

  • How
  • What
  • Why

And because there is no concept of time or space in the Records, you can’t ask when something is going to happen.

An example of this is:

Instead of asking When will I find the perfect job?, ask What are my unique gifts, talents, and abilities? What obstacles are blocking me from finding my perfect job/career? What can I do to clear and release these blocks?

Another example is rephrasing the question When will I find my life partner? to What blocks do I need to work on that are preventing me from finding my life partner?

Other questions I find very supportive are:

What is my life purpose?
What is my greatest limitation and how can I overcome it?
And at the end of a session, asking the Records, Is there anything I haven’t asked or that you would like to share with me?

It's beneficial to have questions ready before opening up your Records, because a lot of information can come through once they're open.

When opening up your own Records, it's also extremely helpful to journal during or after so you can reflect on the guidance you receive.

I have found in readings that oftentimes, there's a lot more underneath the first message that comes through. You can keep asking for more information or what something means until it feels clear to you. Also know that the Records are showing you potential outcomes based on where you are in your life currently. You always have free will and can always change your mind. As you do, the Records will be there to support you on your path.

Conclusion

At the end of every single reading I do for myself or others, I am in complete and total awe of this truly magical tool we all have access to. The Akashic Records offer infinite guidance, clarity, empowerment, and peace. If you are feeling called to experience the Records, there is no better time than now.

For those who are both new to the Records or have been experimenting with them for some time, this membership offers a practical and grounded approach to accessing the Akashic Records.

Learn everything you need to begin accessing your Records immediately.
